Beth Allen, MS, is the Community Relations Coordinator for the Lifelong Learning Institute at Nova Southeastern University. She holds her Master of Science degree in Education – Human Resource Development from Barry University and a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Buffalo. She also studied Italian and Art History at the University of Siena in Siena, Italy.
Previously, Beth was the Executive Director of the Joseph Meyerhoff Senior Center/Southeast Focal Point in Hollywood that provided programming for older adults and their families. From 1988-2008 she held a number of positions at the David Posnack Jewish Community Center in Davie and was the Assistant Executive Director for 12 years, developing and supervising programs for children, teens, adults, seniors and the special needs population. She was the recipient of the Yakir Award for National Professional of the Year from the Association of Jewish Center Professionals in 2003 and received an award for programming for the special needs population by the JCC Florida State Professional Association.
She has a passion for the special needs population and is President of the Board of Directors of the Exceptional Theater Company (ETC) and Co-Chair of the Giborim U special needs program for David Posnack Jewish Community Center. In 2018, the Giborim U program won the Outstanding Program Award for North America from Jewish Community Centers Association. For six years, she co-chaired the Health & Human Services Day for Leadership Hollywood and in 2016 was presented with the Leadership Hollywood Award. 2016-2018 she co-chaired of the Leadership Hollywood Community Service Project program. As co-chair of the JCC Cares program for the 2015 Maccabia Games & Arts Fest she organized community service projects for 1500 teenagers with the Boys & Girls Clubs, Feeding South Florida, ETC and Sunrise Living Communities.
Beth is married to David Caswell. They have two grown children and one grandchild.
