Our “Ms. Debbie” is the guiding force of ETC. As the Executive Director of ETC and the Director of many of the productions and classes, she wears many hats on any given day. A native of South Florida, Debbie has been active in the theater community and special services activities for decades.
Beginning in theater productions in North Miami Beach, her theater credits have grown over the years to include appearances in Community Theater, summer stock, commercials and movies. Prior to establishing ETC, she conducted drama classes and developed programs in the performing arts at organizations serving the disabled. Recognizing the need for providing these services on a larger scale throughout Florida’s tri-county area, she established ETC and is determined to expand its reaches.
Debbie balances a very full private life with the demands of public service. Married over 35 years to local businessman, Scott Lombard, raising four children and being a grandmother of two, has not deterred her community involvement. Debbie lives life saying “I am now, at this moment, all that I need to be!”
Daniela Roeder is honored to be the Operations Manager at the Exceptional Theater Company. She has always enjoyed theater, volunteering and raising awareness for the special needs community through the arts. In fact, when Daniela was in high school, she produced and directed ‘The Wizard of Oz’ with the special needs students of her school. This production was so successful that it led her to win the Miami Herald Silver Knight Award for Drama and the high school continues producing a play each year. Daniela has a background in non-profits with her 5 year work experience at the YMCA, being an active volunteer for Broward Gold Down Syndrome Organization and establishing the annual ‘i EXTRA love you’ World Down Syndrome Day event in Hollywood.
While working for the Greater Hollywood Chamber of Commerce as the Membership Manager, Daniela joined Leadership Hollywood. Through the Leadership program she was introduced to ETC, was the chair of the project and then joined the Board of Directors. She continues to participate in Leadership Hollywood by being the chair for the Health and Human Services day. Daniela then joined the world of marketing and media sales through radio advertising. All of this has led Daniela to join ETC and have the capability of leading the operations of the organization. From branding to fundraising, Daniela is looking forward on making a positive impact on the lives of the actors, their families, the teachers and volunteers. When not working, she enjoys spending time with her finance & puppy, traveling, volunteering, going to the theater, listening to jazz and drinking a good cup of tea. Daniela dedicates her job to her brother Alex, for inspiring her everyday to make a difference.
